An architectural walk through Brussels

About this tour

Looking at some of the most beautiful houses of Brussels: the city went through a lot (not always in a positive way) but still shows some fantastic neo-classical areas in the world, marvelous art-nouveau, and splendid art-deco palaces: a must-see!

Let us start right in front of Central Station (Modern Style and the last achievement of our most famous architect ever: Victor Horta, our very own inventor of Art Nouveau. Walking past Bozar, again by Horta but this time in Art Deco (1927), the MIM (Music Instruments Museum), formerly known as Old England, and a stunning Art Nouveau building and the Place Royale, an 18th-century marvel… Now we will have to climb further uptown to reach avenue Louise with several Unesco heritage “hotels” or stately mansions designed by Victor Horta.
